What this site is for

This is a patient decision guide to soft-tissue fillers, published by Chongqing West District Hospital, a tertiary general hospital in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing. It exists for the person deciding rather than the person studying: whether to have filler at all, which substance class reaches their problem, what they are committing to in time and maintenance, what the real risks are, and when the honest answer is a different treatment.

What it deliberately does not do

It does not name products or brands, quote prices or dosages, or promise a result. It does not present filler as a lift, and it does not pretend that a temporary result is a permanent one. Where the medical system behind fillers is already explained elsewhere in this cluster, this site links to the authority page rather than repeating it.

The two things kept visible

Two facts are repeated wherever they are relevant, because both are easy to omit. The first is that vascular occlusion is a time-critical emergency that can cause skin loss and, rarely, vision loss, and that every patient should know its signs before treatment. The second is that every filler result is temporary and maintenance is required.

How the content is reviewed and corrected

Ke He, MD, Deputy Director and Head of Skin & Laser Aesthetics, is the responsible physician. Every guide is reviewed against her clinical judgement before publication and reviewed again on a twelve-month cycle. If you find something unclear, out of date or wrong, the contact page explains how to tell us, and corrections are made to the page itself.
